Wetherby Racecourse & Conference Centre
Wetherby Racecourse required additional digital marketing support to promote their Christmas meeting on Facebook. The meeting takes place each year on 26th and 27th December and having had to cancel due to flooding the previous year, there were concerns that ticket sales may be slow to gain momentum.
To sell out their Premier stand before the event and generate as many pre-event ticket sales as possible. We waited until a new website was launched before beginning the campaigns which left us with just over 6 weeks.
What we did
We planned and executed five separate advertising campaigns on Facebook including competitions, event promotions and discounts. Using a combination of custom audiences and remarketing, we targeted people who we knew were interested in horse racing and lived within a 50 mile radius of the venue.
In just over 6 weeks…
We reached 110k people
Saw over 1,500 people view the event on the website
Collected over 1,000 email addresses
Sold out the Premier stand 15 days before the event (a new record!)
Generated a 260% return on their investment
LIFE Church hold an annual Women’s Conference each year called Cherish. In 2014, the church decided to take a huge leap of faith (pun intended), and move the conference to a larger venue – the First Direct Arena in Leeds.
To get more people to the website to read about and book tickets for the conference using social media channels and a budget of £1000. Oh, and we had just 8 weeks until the event!
What we did
We ran advertising campaigns on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube using the videos and graphics that their media team had already creating. We constantly changed the messages to give people a count down and sense of urgency to get their tickets booked.
We targeting females in the UK and Ireland of any age.
In just 8 weeks…

We reached 237,000 people.
We sent 5,300 people to the website. An increase in social media traffic of 26%.
