It all started when...
As a marketing graduate, I've always been involved in creating and implementing marketing strategies; helping businesses to grow and succeed since 2005 (I know, I don't look old enough, do I? ;) ).
My passion is in the online arena; working with businesses to make better use of their websites and create campaigns to drive traffic to them.
I set up Skittish in 2012, having worked as an Internet Marketing Manager (and reluctant Web Developer) within the financial services sector for almost 7 years.
The aim was to make digital marketing accessible to more SMEs, providing an alternative to large agencies, and I'd like to think we have achieved that.
It's often one of the first things people ask me - why Skittish? Where did that name come from?
To be honest, I fell in love with having a .sh domain name having seen another brand with one. I like the simplicity and quirkiness of not having a .co.uk or .com address and, more importantly, I wanted a company name people would remember.
For me, Skittish is about never being still, always questioning things and being agile enough to keep up with the millions of changes and updates that happen each year in digital.
BA (Joint Hons) Communication & Cultural Studies and Marketing
The foundation for my expertise in Marketing started at The University of Leeds, graduating with a First (I like to brag!).
Skittish is an approved Google Partner which means we're more than qualified to look after your Google AdWords campaigns.
Certificate in Web Application Development
Yeah, I know some techie stuff too, so if you need help translating between your team and your web developer, I can probably help!
Level 3 Award in Education & Training
This basically means I can teach adults all kinds of things, but I usually stick to Digital Marketing.
Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM)
The recognised body for marketing professionals. Essential for keeping up to date with the latest skills and industry developments.
When I'm not Skittish
I love to run, but not too far. Just far enough to see some Yorkshire countryside, not too far that I break a sweat.
I unintentionally collect notebooks, but that's about the only girly thing about me.
If I could live anywhere in the world it would probably be the Isle of Man. All year round motor sport and roads with no speed limits, what's not to like?
Oh, and I have a thing for old typewriters.
Wow, you read all the way down here? You deserve a cuppa and a slice of this cake... mmmmm...caaaaake...
OK, seriously, that's all I have for you.
